Schools are gardens where ideas, skills, and traditions mix like soil, water, sun, and seed to help our kids to live, work, play, and participate in civic life now and in the future.
SCHOOLS WORKING FOR A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE
Peter sees opportunities in the challenges facing our schools today. From changes in technology to how we keep kids safe and well-fed, from global issues to fielding a team during COVID-19, we have a lot of work to do.
SCHOOLS: WHY WE ARE HERE
SCASD serves thousands of families, employs hundreds of teachers, coaches, administrators, and support staff. We need committed and knowledgable servants to ensure that our schools are providing a truly thorough and efficient system of education that works for our kids today and tomorrow. With an operating budget of $160 million, our community should expect that we be fiscally smart, restrained where needed, but investing in the people and programs that help make State College a great place to live.
