Buck Campaign Bulletin: Five Weeks To Go!

Just Over a Month to Go and this Campaign is Ready to Win!

Hello Friends and Supporters,

We’re almost into the month of October and I can feel the anxiety and excitement in the air. Every time I speak with a future constituent, it reminds me why I am doing this. I listen to their concerns, and I can’t wait to work for them in fighting for a brighter day for central PA.

Last week was an awesome week for our campaign. We sent another few hundred postcards, and had thousands of doorhangers go out (a big thank you to everyone who volunteered with the CCDC)!!

We filmed our first few campaign ads last week as well. We are working with an amazing production company that is based here in Centre County. These ads should be ready to roll out next week, so keep you’re eye out for that!

I attended various municipal and school board meetings to stay up-to-date on the issues in the 171st Legislative District. Guess who wasn’t there? Kerry Benninghoff.

We recently received the results of a poll and it showed what issues are most important to the people of the 171st, and what we need to do to win. The top issue of our time is rural infrastructure, especially rural emergency medical services. It was across the board — Independents, Trump Voters, folks from Penns Valley, women, and more!

And it’s a no brainer. We need to strengthen and increase funding for our rural EMS, because lives depend on it. But what has Kerry done to help our crucial rural EMS system? Nothing. In fact, he’s taken it backward. In the last decade, he has voted to cut the Department of Health’s budget FOUR times for a total $106 million in cuts. Our volunteers on the frontlines of the EMS system need that money back. People are counting on us.

Democrats scored a lot of victories in court last week. They secured a three-day extension for ballots to be received (because you never know how long it will take to get there in these USPS conditions), they made sure that voters can safely drop their ballots off at drop boxes, and they protected the poll-watcher law (so that Trump can’t send out-of-state cronies to the polling locations to suppress the vote).

However, even with these wins, it’s still important that voters vote-by-mail correctly. And, yes, that includes that pesky little security envelope. I made a whole page about election tips and updates on my website. Check it out and please share!
